i think the geopolitical risk for TSM is being overstated by western media, i do believe that TSM will deepen its root in taiwan, most advanced chips will be made in Taiwan, CC WEI, the new chairman of TSM has made it very clear, it is time for TSM to sell its value, which means TSM will raise its wafer price, which will significantly boost its revenue in the new few years, CFO of TSM has made it very clear, TSM started harvest its CAPEX, their capex will start go down from its peak, which means more cash flow from operation and less CAPEX, and more free cash flow to pay out more dividend in the next few years, good for the long term investor

Thats why your numbers were off quite far from key items table. you took most of the next financial year data. Revenue example 2014 4633.666667 2015:4982.666667 2016:6751.666667 2017:9480.333333

The DCF is great but with the assets (human and physical capital) in Taiwan there is an alarming amount of geopolitical that always makes me hesitate from taking a position.

Are there any alternatives for FactSet? You seem to get quite a lot of info from there. I’d like to start learning financial modeling and be able to build a DCF but I feel like finding the numbers would be much harder without it.

Awesome to see some international companies get valued. I'd be hard pressed to think of another channel that does anything like this at this level of detail. Can I humbly suggest Uniqlo's parent company, Fast Retailing (FRCOY) for the next DCF ? I think there's good discussion to be had given the Bank of Japan's recent move to end negative interest rates coupled with a stronger push by Fast Retailing to increase the global presence of Uniqlo and their smaller budget brand, GU. Would also be interesting to discuss reports that the Bank is considering and possibly already has intervened with the price of the Yen tanking this year.

Hii Ben! I am very drawn to dcf but can't seem to wrap my head around the fact that somehow we are keying in 50/60% growth in forecast period !! Doesn't that make the model look really far fetched!? Would you share your 2 cents on it ?

Quick question just so I can understand it properly, in the debt schedule how come the accruing interest isn’t added onto the ending balance or being paid off in the debt waterfall? Is this because it is being paid off in the income statement at the top of the model?
